Joy School Halloween Party 10.27.10

The Joy School Halloween party was a hit! I think the kids had a great time. This year I am only teaching one class, however there were so many 4 year olds that we did split into two different classes. We decided to combine the two classes for the holidays and this time we had 11 four year olds and about 8 or so siblings dressed up and ready to have some Halloween fun.

Brelee girl was a good pirate.

Travis- Spiderman, Pirate Brelee and Pirate Nate

First, we practiced Trick-or-Treating. each child brought candy to hand out to the other Joy School kids. When it was Travis' turn to hand out his candy (we made caramel corn balls), he was SO EXCITED. His smile was ear to ear.

Here were the Joy School kids and a few siblings.

The children played a game called Trick or Treat. They drew a slip of paper from a bowl. If it said Trick, you did a trick/talent for everyone and then got a treat. If it said treat, they got a treat. Here they are all waiting patiently...especially Thais, she knew what to do to get a turn (she is Ariel).

We had two teams make a Mummy out of someone.

Wesly has been begging me to play this game now. He wants me to wrap him up. I think we will play this as a family on Sunday.

Snack time was fun, there were some scary snacks!

We played outside for a bit

And last but not least, we painted pumpkins!
