Shoes

Last Sunday Nathan was complaining, yet again, that his shoes were hurting him. He had been complaining about them for a few weeks now and I always forgot about it until I was squeezing his square, wide feet, once again into his black Sunday shoes.
I decided he really wouldn't be able to make it through another day of church, so I should probably do the shuffle.
I asked the boys to all sit on the stairs, and of course Brelee came wanting to know what was going on as well. The picture was very similar to the one below, only on the stairs in our home.
Wesly and Travis already had their church shoes on. I asked Wesly to remove his shoes and I put a larger pair on him. I removed Travis shoes, and put Wesly's shoes on Travis.

Nathan, knowing we were all switching shoes, saw Wesly and Travis trade shoes...his comment was: "I don't want to wear Brelee's shoe's!"

I don't blame him. the pink boots would have been even more uncomfortable than his old black pair.

He was happy when I told him she wasn't trading with anyone, but he got Travis' shoes. Everyone was happy. Especially Mom, cause they could all wear the same size, but the big boys are happy to have a little extra room in the toe.

I thought it was the cutest thing and had to write it down. I love my kiddos, they sure can make me smile.
