HALLOWEEN OCT 2011

What a FUN HALLOWEEN this year!

This is my favorite picture.

This is a small portion of a super fun party.

It is amazing what can happen with a good idea and a lot of friends who pitch in to help. We blocked off the road and had tables, bbq's, paper goods, lanterns, and pot luck side dishes, all provided by different families. When we started, there were about 30 kids, through the night I would say that number at least doubled. At least.

The biggest hit for the kids was the movie on the projector. Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin of course.

I had zero expectations for this party. We weren't sure if anyone would come aside from those assigned with a few things, and it was just relaxing and nice. Next year it's a redo for sure.

After an hour or so we went trick or treating and then came back to the party to hand out candy from our chairs to each other and other kids coming by.

The kids got more than enough candy, they were complaining about their heavy bags and were excited to go back to the party and watch the move again and again.

After all the fun, Brelee fell asleep in my arms (she hasn't done that in forever and it was SO SWEET!) and Nathan never even made it up the stairs. Wesly said Haloween was THE BEST DAY IN OCTOBER!! success.

You officially win the prize for the coolest Halloween party! Wow! That looked like so much fun. I wish we had a crowd out here like that.
