Emers, 10 months old

Emali Anne is already 10 months old.  Time is flying by and we enjoy every minute of it.

She loves her siblings and they get her to laugh by putting her on the couch and jumping up and down, and making cars fly off of table tops, and all kinds of things mom usually puts an end to as soon as I see it happening, well, at least after I enjoy her giggles for a little while.
Emali has seemed so close to walking for over a month already.  I think she is content with crawling and walking along along furniture for now.  She sure can climb the stairs with ease though.  We are still working on showing her how to avoid falling down them, but thankfully that hasn't happened yet.  So for now she only know how to go up.
She is a great eater and at 9 months finally started sleeping through the night!!  I suppose mom talking the plunge and moving Emi into her own room was a big factor in this.  She needed her own quiet place too.

At 9 months she also started responding to us with her hands.  We would ask, how big is Emi? and she would put both of her hands high up in the air.  I didn't think much of showing her more things until I realized, hello, this means she can probably wave, clap, and play peek-a-boo.  At 10 months she really started waving, clapping, and showing off more.

One of the things she recently decided was that she has a favorite pose.  We call it the Heisman.
It is too funny, she will be eating, and then all of a sudden tuck her head to her shoulder and stick her arm straight out, and her other arm is almost always tucked in to her body.  It cracks me up because she just suddenly freezes for only a moment like this.  We are constantly egging her on to do it more now.
I have a video clip, but it doesnt want to load, so I will try again later.
