SUMMER 2013 weekends 1 and 2

This summer is FLYING BY!
The last week of school was full of baseball games and final swimming lessons.
The kids LOVED the swim lessons they had a heated pool for the last 5 weeks.  They learned more than they ever have in these 5 weeks.   I just wish it didnt cost almost $500 to sign them up again! Thank goodness for online deals, however, they were for just first timers, so we can't use the deal again.  However, I may consider taking a younger child or two once school starts for the older 3.

For the first weekend of summer we were busy playing with friends and getting ready for the summer season.  We watched friends while their parents attended the temple and got ready for our busy end of baseball season the next week.

The boys had their last games the week after school got out and Nathan's team had a small pizza party at the park.
Memorial day was the first monday out of school so there was no swim, but we tried out swim team the tuesday and wednesday after that.  The pools near us have great programs and I was hoping the boys would all be ready to participate.  Mentally, Travis and Nate were READY! however, I pulled them after the first two days and decided more swim lessons would make it so that swim team would be fun and not just hard.    It just so happened that day 3 was day 1 of the summer movie program we bought tickets for, so sad faces turned into jumping smiles when they heard we were going to the movie theater!

We have had many many opportunities to go swimming this summer and I have to say the kids have all caught on and even Brelee is swimming underwater, she just needs to figure out how to come up for air :)

After the first week of summer, weekend number 2 was spent at Grandma's house for the kids and SAN FRANCISCO for mom and Dad.  See separate posts for those!
