The developer of our community went above and beyond and planted, watered, cared for, and then gave away pumpkins in our neighborhood this year. Everyone got a free pumpkin and you could donate a small amount for any additional pumpkins. We even snagged a free watermelon from the patch as well. The kids had a great time and I am pretty impressed with the variety we found as well.
Picking up fuzzy caterpillars was pretty entertaining too.
They also had free hot dogs and drinks and chips and we had a great time! The second weekend they opened everything to the public as well and both weekends were great turnouts. If you are in the area next weekend the town is putting on quite the event, Founders' Day should be a lot of fun too. It is different this year than in years to pass, so I am not quit sure what to expect, but my big race day is part of it! Early Saturday morning will be a great day to run a 10k!
