I just want to also say that I love Chris very very much. Today is the 18th. 5 years ago today we got engaged. It has been the best 5 years! Chris and I used to always do competitve creative things. For our engagement he was so creative...He had gifts sent to me all day that had to do with the theme "I promise." I was living in Flagstaff going to NAU. He had gotten home from his mission in November and we were back to the long distance thing, while he went to ASU in Tempe. It was a Tuesday so I had no clue that he would be anywhere near Flagstaff as he usually came up every other weekend or so (and he had just come up for Valentine's).
I woke to find a message taped to my bathroom mirror that said, "I promise..." (My roomate Sarah had set everything up for Chris.) The door to the garage had a bag with crazy socks in it (I love crazy socks) and a note that said, "to keep your feet warm" (my feet always freeze, I even bring socks to the movie theatre). In my car was a shower cap with chocolate kisses and a note that said "...to shower you with kisses". At institute another girl, named Katie, got a bag, that later in the day made it's way back to me (poor girl) that had a bear in it and it said "...to help Bear life's burdens." At work I got a snowglobe that played music and it said, "...to keep love's music ringing in your ears." I think I got something at school too...but I can't remember right now. (AND he really wanted to give me a bra, and say "to support you in all you do", or something like that...lol. But his Mom said NO WAY, that that was a bad idea. lol.)
Anyhow, at the end of the day my friend Keli and I went to play soccer, but instead of taking me to play she made me wear a bandana over my eyes and she drove me to a grove of aspen trees (some snow on the ground at the time) and she left me by a tree...I wouldn't let her leave until Chris came and grabbed my hand ( I knew it was him by then.) and he took me to a tree where he uncovered my eyes and he had carved into the tree "...to love you forever." There was a ring box on the branch of the tree and I opened it, it was empty, and he was on one knee with the ring and he asked me to marry him. ahhhhh. :) Of course I said Yes! and the rest is history!

I forgot how cute his proposal was!! Aw- I love you guys!
I just caught up on your blog, sister. I love it :) You tell great stories about the family. I hadn't heard that you guys finally got ahold of a Wii! Sounds like a lot of fun. Ammon says Mom and Dad bought DDR for the Wii on Valentine's day, too! Brittany told me it's for Mom to get some exercise.
That is the cutest thing ever! And of course I don't mind if you read my blog, i'm excited cuz now I have yours to look at too :)
That was such a great story - thanks for the refresher:) By the way, Keli has a blog if you didn't already know. Let me know if you need the address! Isn't it crazy how fast these 5 years have gone?!
